    It was a crisp summer day. Bright blue sky, light breeze, and just warm enough so that it didn't make you sweat. A small town stood high nearby a vast canyon, full of scattered rock pillars that pierced through the 800 foot drop into dark shadows of rock. Small streams of water ran at the bottom, hugging the tall standing pillars as it slowly flowed through the expansive canyon. Between the town and the canyon was a patchy field of grass with flowers of several colors. The grass struggled to grow in the dry rock, but for some reason the flowers were always in great health.
